Grewia asiatica health benefits:
Phalsa is a cooling
and astringent fruit. It is heart, stomach and liver tonic - quenches
thirst. Eliminates heat fever, chest, stomach and urinary inflammation. Phalsa
juice is used to make a refreshing syrup, which is helpful for palpitations and
soothes heat and thirst. Its thick syrup strengthens the stomach. Due to its
mucilaginous (slippery) properties, a decoction of phalsa root bark is also
used in the treatment of conditions such as urinary retention, hematuria (blood
in urine), gonorrhea, and diabetes.
